Academic City excels in 2024 Times Higher Education ranking

Academic City has been ranked prominently in the 2024 Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Ranking demonstrating its growing impact and commitment to academic excellence in Ghana and across West Africa.

The Times Higher Education Ranking evaluates universities’ research contributions, innovation, and academic excellence. Academic City’s ranking was notable, as it was only established seven years prior and is considered Ghana’s top university for STEM and entrepreneurship.

  • Ranked 2nd in Resources and Finance, showcasing its ability to maintain fiscal discipline while driving academic excellence
  • Achieved 5th in Student Engagement, reflecting its focus on building strong student connections through innovative teaching and support systems
  • Placed 4th in Africa Impact, highlighting its outstanding contributions to sustainable development in Ghana, ahead of many other local institutions
